The planned expansion of its Clinton, TN distribution center will enable Delta Apparel to service its expanded product line within it. DLA intends to add retail packaging operations to service its growing Direct-to-Retail business and integrate its DTG2Go digital print and fulfillment services. The $15-million project will be completed over the next year.
Elsewhere at Delta, where Q4 sales and operating profit growth were 16 percent and 40 percent, respectively, the Greenville, SC company is investing to “significantly” expand its Western Hemisphere sewing capacity and is projecting low-single digit growth in its activewear business in the fiscal year ahead. In Q4, the Soffe brand enjoyed its second consecutive quarterly sales growth, fueled by strength in the military specialty and e-retailer channels. Channel-specific graphic T-shirt collections have been developed for the brand’s product line.
