Abraham Ancer, PGA Tour ambassador

Miura Golf tapped Mexico’s Abraham Ancer as its first PGA Tour ambassador. The partnership between the Scottsdale, AZ company and the 61st-ranked world ranked golfer, who has played the brand since 2017, was formally announced during the WGC-Mexico Championship that ended yesterday.

Hydro Flask, a Helen of Troy Ltd.-owned company, was recently named REI’s Camp Division Vendor Partner of the Year from among 1,400 REI brand partnerships. The co-operative established the awards program in 1993 and companies in four categories—action sports, camp, apparel and footwear—are recognized annually.

OS1st, in support of National Foot Health Awareness Month, is conducting a “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” promotion for the entire month of April. The program includes all OS1st “Socks with Purpose” products and is a brick-and-mortar only promotion. April is a busy time for the athletic community as people increase their activity. “We want to help them stay healthy through the season,” said Josh Higgins, OS1st president. The company offers a wide variety of medical grade compression products for plantar fasciitis, bunion relief, recovery and injury prevention.

Tractor Supply Co.’s annual footwear and apparel sales held steady at 8 percent of total revenues or an implied $632.9 million in FY18, up 9.1 percent from an implied $580.5 million in FY17.

W.L. Gore & Associates Fabrics Division recently released its annual Responsibility Update. One key achievement — significant progress in the elimination of PFCs of Environmental Concern. The company wants to eliminate all PFCs of Environmental Concern from its entire lifecycle of consumer products by the end of 2023.
